Blue Steps on the Saffron Trail
Identity Design | Print | WebsiteBlue Steps on the Saffron Trail is a cultural, environmental and social initiative exploring how the 71-mile Saffron Trail can become a connected blue-green corridor across Essex.
This project was part of the feasibility phase which produced a report that put forth a practical foundation for future delivery through ecological surveys, mapping, partnership development, public engagement and a long-term Theory of Change.
The project involved designing an identity for the project and a report documenting the research.
The identity is an amalgamation of an abstracted form of a river and the stigmas of the saffron flower. It embodies the journey and the myriad living beings along the trail.
Identity for the Initiative
Report Design
The two column layout and large visuals with lots of white spaces makes the report reader-friendly and visually engaging. The use of hand drawn illustrations adds to the essence of being on the ground, walking the trail and appreciating nature.
Website
The simple and clean design of the website is meant to be easily navigable and showcase the impressive amount of research by the team in an accessible way.
